America President Candidates: Here's Where The 2024 Presidential Candidates Stand On Elections, Voting

Former President Donald Trump has been saying that the last election was rigged, and many other Republicans are saying the same thing. They're also pushing for stricter voting rules to prevent cheating, or so they say.

But, there are people who fight against these laws in court. They say that these rules are designed to stop some people from voting while pretending to protect the election.

Let's see where the major candidates stand on this issue.

Joe Biden

Joe Biden, a Democrat, won the last election, and he's been very clear about defending the results. He says we can't let anyone undermine our elections. However, some people on the left criticize him for not doing enough to make voting easier.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Another Democrat, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., believes the last election was fair, but he's not sure if he'll accept the results of the next one. He wants to focus on making sure the voting process is honest.

Marianne Williamson

Also a Democrat running against Biden, Marianne Williamson thinks that money has too much influence in elections. She wants to change the rules, like lowering the voting age to 16 and getting rid of photo ID requirements.

Donald Trump

Trump, a Republican, keeps saying the last election was stolen from him without providing evidence. He's also giving mixed messages on how people should vote in the next election. He wants people to vote in person on Election Day, but he's also supporting early voting.

Ron DeSantis

Florida's Republican Governor, Ron DeSantis, admitted that Trump lost the last election and that Biden is the president. He's proud of Florida's elections but wants to investigate voter fraud.

Nikki Haley

Nikki Haley, a Republican and former U.N. Ambassador, doesn't believe in election conspiracy theories. She supports stricter voter ID requirements and says she'd back Trump if he runs again and isn't convicted of crimes related to the last election.

Vivek Ramaswamy

Vivek Ramaswamy, a Republican, is focused on improving "election integrity." He wants a national holiday for Election Day, paper ballots, and government-issued IDs for voters.
Mike Pence
Former Vice President Mike Pence is clear that there was no conspiracy in the last election. He supports some changes to elections but wants states to decide their rules without the federal government.

Tim Scott South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, a Republican, doesn't think the last election was stolen, but he acknowledges some cheating. He avoids directly challenging Trump's claims about the election in Georgia.

Doug Burgum

Republican Governor Doug Burgum trusts the 2020 election results. He wants to ensure election integrity by giving election workers enough time to verify information.
Asa Hutchinson
