2024 US Presidential Election: Presidential debates commission announces dates and locations for 2024
The group in charge of organizing the big debates where the people running for president and vice president talk to each other has just announced when and where the debates will happen next year. They picked four colleges to host these events.
Here's the schedule
1. The first debate for the president will be on September 16 at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.

2. The vice president debate will be on September 25 at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.
3. The second debate for the president will be on October 1 at Virginia State University in Petersburg,
Virginia.
4. The third and probably last debate for the president will be on October 9 at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
This is the first time that Virginia State University, a historically black college, will host a debate for the big election.
The people in charge of the debates say that these events are watched by people all around the world, and they are a good example for other countries. They think it's important for everyone to hear the candidates talk about important issues in a fair way. This tradition has been going on since 1976.
In 2024, students at the four colleges hosting the debates will play a big role in making sure the conversations are historic and interesting for people everywhere.
