Israel-Palestinian war: Here's the list of nations backing Palestinian Group Hamas

The Hamas group from Palestine did a big attack on Israel on 7th October. They went into Israel's land and shot over 5,000 rockets. In response, Israel said they were at 'war.' Hamas militants sneaked into Israel using land, water, and air to attack civilians. Israel started Operation "Iron Swords" to stop the Hamas militants in Gaza. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said over 1,000 Israelis have died in the war against Hamas. The Gaza Health Ministry said nearly 1,000 people have died and 5,000 are hurt in Gaza.

Many countries supported Israel. They include France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, and the United States. India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi also supported Israel and condemned terrorism.

Iran and Afghanistan supported Hamas. Iran's leader praised the attack on Israel, but Iran denied helping Hamas. Afghanistan also supported a Palestinian state.

Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Yemen, Qatar, and Lebanon also had something to say. Saudi Arabia called for peace. Iraq's groups said they'd target the US if it helped Israel. Yemen's leader warned the US.
