US Election 2024: Trump Files For New Hampshire Primary Ahead Of Campaign Rally

Donald Trump, the former US President and a Republican, signed up for the New Hampshire presidential primary on Monday. This is a big deal because he's the first person who has been a president to do this more than once.

He also talked about who he thinks should be the next speaker of the US House of Representatives. This happened because Jim Jordan tried to get the job but didn't succeed, so there are now at least nine new people who want the job.

Trump went to New Hampshire, and people there cheered for him when he signed up for the presidential primary. This is a step towards him running for president again in the next election.

In the past, when he was running in 2016, he sent someone else to do the paperwork for the 2020 election. But this time, he did it in person. On a poster that all candidates have to sign, he wrote, "Vote for Trump and solve your problems."

Lots of people want to be the next president, and they have until October 27 to officially sign up. So, we'll see many candidates in the coming days.

It's interesting to note that even though Trump won the Republican primary in New Hampshire in 2016 and 2020, he didn't win the state in the general elections.

When asked about who he supports for the House of Representatives speaker, Trump didn't say much. He mentioned that Representative Tom Emmer asked for his support, but he's trying to stay out of it for the most part.

He also made a comment about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, saying that DeSantis's popularity in New Hampshire has gone down, according to a poll he saw. Trump even gave DeSantis a nickname, "Ron Desanctimonious," and said he's not doing as well as he used to.
