Israel-Hamas War: India launches ‘Operation Ajay’ to get its citizens back from war-torn Israel

There is a big fight going on between Israel and a group called Hamas. Many Indians are stuck in this dangerous situation. So, India is starting a plan called 'Operation Ajay' to bring these Indians back home.

The Indian Minister for External Affairs, S Jaishankar, announced this on social media. He said they are arranging special flights to get people out of Israel safely. The Indian Embassy in Israel has also sent emails to the first group of registered Indian citizens who will be on a special flight the next day. They will send messages to other registered people for more flights.

Right now, there are about 18,000 Indians in Israel. Some of them are in places where the fighting is happening. The Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv is getting lots of requests from Indians, including tourists, who want to leave Israel because it's not safe with the terrorists from Hamas attacking. Many Indians in Israel work as caregivers, and there are also Indian students and IT professionals. The embassy has told them to be careful and keep in touch with the embassy.

The war between Israel and Hamas is causing a lot of deaths. More than 3,600 people have lost their lives in this conflict.
